Cookie brownie


For cookie layer

  • ½ cup of butter-softened½ cup of packed light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup of white sugar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • One egg
  • One & ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • One cup semisweet chocolate chips

For brownie layer

  • 1/2 cup of butter-melted
  • One cup of white sugar
  • One teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Two eggs
  • 1/3 cup of cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup of all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt


Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a baking dish or pan.

How to make the cookie layer:

Mix together butter, sugars, and vanilla extract in a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed until smooth. Add egg-beat until and creamy (about 3 minutes).

Whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda in a small bowl. Gently stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture until combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Spread dough into the prepared baking pan, covering the bottom completely.

How to make the brownie layer:

Stir together butter, sugar, and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Add eggs. And beat well. Then stir in cocoa powder until combined. Stir in the flour, the baking powder, and the salt until mixed. Pour and spread the dough over the cookie layer in the pan. Bake dough for 25-30 minutes, or when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
