Chocolate Chip Brownie


  1. Two cups all-purpose flour
  2. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  3. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  4. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  5. One teaspoon grated nutmeg
  6. 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  7. 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  8. 1 1/2 cup of sugar
  9. 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  10. One teaspoon vanilla extract
  11. Two eggs
  12. 1/2 cup vegetable oil


  • Whisk ingredients 1-6. Then set aside.
  • Beat the butter and the sugar in a large mixing bowl until the mixture is smooth.
  • Then, add the vegetable oil and the vanilla extract. Beat well.
  • Next, add the dry ingredients mixture to the butter, oil, and sugar mixture-mix until incorporated.
  • Next, add the chocolate chips and mix well.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan, and smooth the top with the back of a spoon or spatula.
  • Next, transfer the batter to a prepared 13×9″ baking pan.  
  • Bake the batter at 350° for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean (do not overbake). Cool on a wire rack before cutting.
